Caparo Dynamics gains orders for the new MoD vehicle variant - 'Jackal II'

Following sucessful deployment and testing of the 4x4 patrol vehicle Jackal in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, the new variant, Jackal II, is currently under construction and the first vehicles are being deployed.

The enhanced Jackal II features improved manoeuvrability and reliability and will be able to carry three crew members; one more than its predecessor.

The vehicle has improved mobility, protection and agility over the Land Rover it replaces, has a 5.9 litre engine with an off-road capability of 80 km/h and can reach a top speed of 130 km/h.
